Looking out for one another is an important part of working in construction, and that responsibility extends beyond physical safety.

Recently, colleagues from C A Duquemin & Rihoy & Son came together to complete Mental Health First Aid training delivered by Guernsey Mind.

Working in construction can bring its own pressures and challenges, making it all the more important that we recognise when someone might be struggling and know how to offer support.

The course provided practical guidance on recognising when someone may be struggling with their mental health, approaching conversations with sensitivity and understanding, and helping people access appropriate support.

By undertaking this training together, both companies are strengthening their shared commitment to looking after their people, equipping colleagues with the confidence to support one another, and fostering working environments where everyone feels valued, supported and confident that they can seek help when they need it.
